Our story: How we got our start Located in a secluded farming area near Caserta, Italy, our family-run factory covers 200 acres of land and houses over 2500 water buffalo. The entire process, from milking the buffalo to packaging the cheese, is completed on-site to ensure the freshness of our product. Why we love what we do: Product Description Lupara Buffalo Mozzarella Lupara's 200 Acre Farm is situated in the rural area of Pastorano, Italy. The farm's herd of over 2,000 water buffalo is well cared for, and all farm staff members and families live on the property. The farm even has its own school bus to take all the children to school each day. It is almost completely autonomous, growing its own feed to nourish the herd. Water buffalo are curious and friendly animals. Our state-of-the-art cheese-making facilities are one of a kind and meet international standards. The herd is milked twice per day, and mozzarella is made fresh every morning.
